How to Use "i.e." Versus "e.g."

I’ve been to this page many a time.

Idaho Startup Weekend on the news. I just spent my Sunday working on getyaro.com.

These are photos from my Flickr Photostream, I hope you love 'em. They're here to stay.

After attending the lecture Do What You Love by Frank Chimaro I’ve been scoping out something I can do on a daily basis that will make me not only feel productive, but accomplished. Something I can complete because it’s so small it would be very hard to leave unfinished. But something interesting enough that I don’t loose interest.

So, taking a cue from Adam J. Kurtz, and by extension Gemma Correll (What I Wore Today) I’ve decided to catalog my daily outfit by illustrating it every day. After a week or so of illustrations I plan to make a little website similar to Coffee By Week where you can see the illustrations.

    Hopefully this goes well.

I thought I wanted to go to art school, but now that I’ve been accepted to NCA I’m less sure than ever.

It’s kinda one of those good-idea-at-the-time things. But no irreparable damage yet.

    *sigh*

    Next book suggestion!

My Kindle came on…Wednesday. I just finished the first book I’d been meaning to read - Hackers and Painters by Paul Grahm. It was terrific and I’m quite enjoying the Kindle.

So, what book should I read next? The books I’m trying to decide between are:

    • Predictably Irrational: The Hidden Forces That Shape Our Decisions by Dan Ariely
    • Harry Potter 5 (order of the Phoenix (this is when I stopped reading the series))
    • Freakonomics
    • Coders at Work
    • The Tipping Point
    • Racism Without Racists
    • Outliers; The Story of Success

I’m open to suggestions as well. So which should it be?

    Moon

My new favorite space-sci-fi-thriller (right after Solaris). Sam Rockwell is so good in this and should get a Academy Award nomination (seriously, what did Heath Ledger do to win in the end?). And I really like this movie poster, too.
