Dark Night
I deem it a fail. Only in the sense that it wasn’t epic like it was “billed.” Seriously, I’m only gonna get 3 hours of sleep tonight because of you…you mediocre not very thrilling / intermediate action movie, you.
I’d equate it to The Hulk that came out in 2003. It was good, but ultimatly a fail because it didn’t live up to what it claimed to be.

For one it was far too long, 2.5 hours…really now? Talk about Return of the King long.
The action was sparse only because of the length, if they cute the majority of the crappy dialog and just did the action it would have been great.
Pathetic attempt at Saw like situation. Really, this is a Gotham city and super heroes movie, not “will I cut off my own arm” movie, so don’t try and make it one.
The suspense and surprise was what let me down most, by the end of the movie I was predicting excatly what was gonna go down. I haven’t even read the comics.
Then again the story itself is based off the comics, so I can’t say too much in that departmet because the comics are epic (or so I’ve heard).
On the plus side, I did hear from Grant that the movie was better than the comics…so I’m not sure if that means the comics are crummy, or I was just born 5 years to late…
It was Hulk good, but certainly not 300, Wall-E or even Finding Nemo epic.
