So, my last.fm is completely screwed up. For the last 6 months my top played artists have been Ok Go, The Killers, and AFI.

Then once upon I time I drove to Portland with Jack, listened to a lot of Matt & Kim, the Cool Kids, and POS. Now look, completely outrageous numbers. That’s almost 6000 on Matt & Kim, and the stats on Ok Go are cumulative since I’ve had my Last.fm profile (a year ago?).

This gets to me. Regardless of how the outrageous play count originated, whether on my iPod or my Computer (neither’s play counts for Matt & Kim add up to 6000 plays). I still get pissy at Last.fm for sucking so hard.

I’ve been scrobbling EVERY single track I play on both my iPod & Computer to them for the last year - they should have me pretty well figured out at this point.

Where are the awesome stats? The pie graphs? Another big one, why can’t I see a line graph (histograph) of what artists I listen to most for a specific week, that was you can see bubbles when a certain artists is hot to me.

I just find myself ever so unsatisfied with Last.fm. It’s trivial, yes, but I listen to a tooon of music and I would really like a scrobble service to really give me stats in return for all the data I’m shipping over to them.

Twones doesn’t do any better a job, and it’s kind of ugly. So does anyone have a suggestion for a better service?

I’ve been working on Tumblr Pie for about two days now. I got a little bit of the code working, and from there it was a glorious victory.

If something isn’t working for you, shoot me with an email.

    Coffee by Week
In the spirit of Daytum et al, Mike Harding is cataloguing every coffee he drinks during 2009. The photos are all taken using the “Helga” setting in CameraBag app for the iPhone, and there’s some simple WebKit transitions and jQuery to highlight the data by day. (via zehnuhr)

    Love this kind of stuff!
